The General page provides a read-only summary of the device manufacturer, security advisory information, hardware identification data, and user-defined device metadata. Use this page to quickly identify the device type, firmware version, serial number, and MAC addresses, for example when contacting technical support or performing inventory documentation.
Vendor
This section displays the manufacturer's contact information:
- Company name
- Address
- Phone number
- Internet website
Current security notifications
This section contains information about the manufacturer's Product Security Incident Response Team (PSIRT) and provides a link to current security advisories published in cooperation with CERT@VDE. Follow the Go to the notifications link to view any security-relevant vulnerabilities that may affect this product.
Recommendation
Check the security notifications regularly to stay informed about any vulnerabilities and available patches for your device.
Device information
This section displays the hardware and firmware identification data of the device:
- Type
- The hardware model designation (e.g., IRF3851).
- Firmware version
- The currently installed firmware version, including the build identifier in parentheses.
- Hardware version
- The hardware revision string, which identifies the specific circuit board revision and variant.
- Serial-No.
- The unique serial number assigned during manufacturing. This value is required when contacting technical support.
- MAC address WAN
- The hardware MAC address of the WAN interface.
- MAC address
- The hardware MAC address of the LAN interface.
User defined
This section displays the user-configurable device metadata fields. These values are set on the System data page and are shown here for reference:
- Name of device
- The configured device name. By default, this is composed of the device type and serial number.
- Physical location
- A free-text field describing the physical installation location of the device (e.g., building, floor, cabinet).
- Contact
- A free-text field for the responsible contact person or department.

The values displayed on this page are read-only. To change the device name, physical location, or contact information, navigate to the System data page.
